Collegiate Results from the Weekend of 26-27Jan’24:

Only a few of our MPTC alumni were in action this weekend. The highlight of the weekend for me was getting to watch Val and Jake throw in person over at UofM. Val set a new PR in weight going over 20m for the first time. She added a 2nd 20m throw and exceeded her old PR on 3 of 6 throws.

Results from the LAB MITS Meet: 27Jan’24

There weren’t very many throwers at the LAB today (likely due to being shot put only). We only had two ourselves which worked out great for me as I was able to watch everyone throw and then slip over to UofM just in time to watch Val throw shot. Addison had her first meet of the indoor season and threw just under her PR (great sign as we are still in the process of making some big changes to her technique). Maggie got off to a rough start (2 sector fouls) but did a great job making corrections and ended on 3 straight throws over 39ft. Both had the longest throws of the day in their respective divisions.

None of our youth throwers were in action this weekend but several of our MPTC alumni were busy representing their universities. Highlights include a nearly 2-foot PR from Jordyn in the weight! Jake was only 3cm off his big PR from last week (showing some great consistency) and Val had another 19m throw.
