Club Results from the weekend of 22Jul’23:

With a week to go before the start of the AAU JO, several of our throwers took part in final tune-up meets. The original plan was to head up to Flint for the Genessee Swift Invite; however, after a last-minute heads up from Jim Crabill at MET, several of us decided to pivot and head down to Tiffin, Ohio to get to throw javelin off a real runway. Our throwers made good use of the opportunity. Teegan & Torran hit new PRs in javelin and Maggie had a seasonal best. All 5 of Torran’s measured throws were over his old PR in javelin! By the time he was done, he had added almost 14ft to his PR! Torran also PR’d in discus (over 5 ft improvement) and Maggie broke through 37ft twice in shot (outdoor PR).

While the rest of us were down in Tiffin, Zoe was up in Flint crushing her old PR in javelin. Her best of 86’ 2” was almost a 12ft improvement! Good to see some big marks coming as we look head into the AAU JO!
